How much is parking and where can I park?

General visitor parking is $10/space. Pricing may vary, however, if there are special events happening on campus or in Downtown Cleveland.

There are several lots and garages available for visitor parking:

  • West Garage is located on E. 17th Street
  • Central Garage is located on Chester Avenue (between E. 18th Street and E. 21st Street)
  • Lot 22 is located under the Student Center with entry from E. 22nd Street
  • Lot 27 is located on Prospect Avenue (and E. 21st Street)
  • East Garage is located on Chester Avenue just past E. 24th Street
  • Metered street parking is also available throughout campus

Is alcohol service available for my event?

Currently, alcohol service is only available at Viking Public House and Wolstein Center. Additional accommodations may be available with our catering partner, ARAMARK. Please inquire for more information.

What is your smoking policy?

Smoking of any tobacco-related products is prohibited on campus. In accordance with Cleveland State University’s Smoke Free Campus policy, there is no smoking permitted inside or outside of buildings or on campus. Please note: all tobacco-related products including cigarettes, e-cigs, juuls, and lighters will be confiscated at the entrance of event facilities.

Are there restricted items that can't be brought to my event?

In general, the following items are prohibited:

  • Animals (except for service animal as defined by the American Disabilities Act) 
  • Cigarettes, cigars, any type of e-cigarettes, or any tobacco- or vaping-related products
  • Drones or other model aircrafts 
  • Explosives, including fireworks 
  • Hazardous items, including, but not limited to: fuels, torches, chemicals, batteries, or aerosols (including pepper spray/gel)
  • Illegal drugs or substances of any kind
  • Laser pointing devices or flashlights  
  • Noisemaking devices of any kind, including, but not limited to: whistles, air horns, vuvuzelas, and cow bells    
  • Weapons including knives, guns, firearms, knives of any size, stun guns/tasers, bats, or poles
 

There may be additional restricted items for specific events and/or facilities. Please reach out to our team or your event’s point of contact for more information.

Can my business or vendors sell products/services during my event?

No commercial sales, profit-making, direct sales events, or banks/financial institutions are permitted on University property, except through approved vendors currently under agreement with Cleveland State University. University organizations cannot function as on-campus agents or representatives for commercial firms, enterprises, or banks/financial institutions. 

Sampling is permitted on campus for the purpose of promoting a product or service. For more details and requirements related to sampling, please reach out to our team.

Do you provide adapters and cords to connect laptops to projectors and devices?

We have a variety of adapters and cords, however, we always say it is safe to bring a few extras if you have them!
